Intermediate — Build → Launch & Monetize

Outcome:

Your student deploys a production-grade app and learns how to accept payments.

What they'll learn:

  • Design with Lovable (UI/UX basics kids can follow): Professional looking designs using lovable.

  • GitHub for code repository (branches, pull requests, code reviews): Students will use GitHub’s branching and pull‑request workflow to experiment safely and collaborate like professionals.

  • Production Deployments via Replit: They’ll learn to publish their app online using Replit, keeping the live site separate from development and updating without disruption. They’ll discover how to move from development to a live production environment safely, configuring environment variables and release settings to avoid breaking the app.

  • Security review 101 (secrets, input validation, Replit Security agent): Kids will safeguard projects by storing secrets in encrypted environment variables and validating inputs, following Replit’s built‑in security practices.

  • Stripe integration (checkout flow in test mode): They’ll build a pretend store using Stripe’s test mode, which uses fake credit cards to simulate payments and handle errors without real money.

  • Authentication & analytics: Finally, they’ll add secure logins with Replit Auth to save user preferences and track activity, learning how to personalise apps and use data to improve them.
